DESCRIPTION
The common room of Gryffindor is a warm place, with a large fireplace and several shades of red and gold. The soft sofas and chairs are good to relax in and various paintings and trophies lne the walls. Dark oak is used for the wood in the room and there is always an open game of wizarding chess. Up in the tower, the sun shines through the window, illuminating the red and gold even better. As the fire dies in the night, a few Gryffindors stay up quietly reading or doing homework. It is not uncommon for the tables and couches to be littered with papers, quills, books, and other objects.
